Yoodlize is a peer-to-peer rental app for renting and renting out anything. As an advertising intern, I helped build awareness about the new way to rent from their neighbor.
As an intern, I got hands-on experience as I helped Yoodlize by

Organizing messaging

Designing ads

Researching target Demographics

How can we reach the college demographic of Utah country?
In addition to my designs, I created a report on what I found in my research about this demographic. I included recommendations for how Yoodlize could best reach this market by meeting the target where they are, both physically and digitally.
Some of the insights I found included:
-
They embrace secondhand shopping. "Consumption means having access to products or services, not necessarily owning them.” Renting items falls under this category.
-
They deal with life sensibly and realistically.
-
They reject the Interruption of Advertising so ideas need to resonate with them.
-
Students now are more financially minded than students of 10 years ago. They spend $5000 on average during college on entertainment.
